BDO Limited is the British Virgin Islands Member Firm of the BDO International Network.

The BDO International network is the fifth largest accountancy network in the world. The Network is comprised of Member Firms which are each governed as an independent legal entity in its own country. The network is comprised of Member Firms in over 100 countries. With over 40,000 professionals on staff in over 1,100 offices worldwide, the international network is able to take on a multitude of services.

Background

BDO International celebrated its 47th year in 2010. The network was founded in Europe in 1963, when accounting firms from the UK, Netherlands, Germany, US and Canada combined their knowledge base to form the Binder Seidman International Group. In 1973, the common name of Binder Dijker Otte & Co was adopted and in 1988, a logo and corporate identity was created that promoted consistency throughout the network.

The international network’s growth has continued year on year and BDO continues to serve its clients well in changing economic and market conditions. BDO is known for client rapport and partner accessibility, and for partners and staff who are challenging, ethical and practical in their approach and advice to clients. A best practice approach to methodology and international collaboration preserves both the reputation of the network and its transparency to the market.

BDO International Limited is a UK company limited by guarantee. It is the governing entity of the international BDO network of independent member firms ('the BDO network'). Service provision within the BDO network is coordinated by Brussels Worldwide Services BVBA, a limited liability company incorporated in Belgium with its statutory seat in Brussels.

Each of BDO International Limited, Brussels Worldwide Services BVBA and the member firms of the BDO network is a seperate legal entity and has no liability for anyother such entity's acts or omissions. Nothin in the arrangements or rules of the BDO network shall constitute or imply an agency relationship or a partnership between BDO International Limited, Brussels Worldwide Services BVBA and/or the member firms of the BDO Network.

BDO is the brand name for the BDO network and for each for the BDO member firms.
