Career Summary Ryan has twelve years of experience in providing accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to clients in a wide range of industries. During his six years in the British Virign Islands, he has sucessfully headed the audits of a number of local and international companies. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the financial services sector, with a broad focus on finance and investments. Ryan began his professional career with BDO Dunwoody LLP (now BDO Canada LLP) in Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada in a small, rural farming town in Southwestern Ontario. There he gained a broad based knowledge of the accounting and assurance field. He then moved, through an internal secondment, to work with BDO CampsObers (now BDO CampsObersGroep) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he was involved in a number of local and multi-national audit and consulting engagements. He spent four months here before moving back to Canada to complete his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. In 1993, he receved to call to come down to the British Virgin Islands and has not looked back since, moving up through the ranks form Audit Senior to Director. Outside of the office, Ryan is heavily involved in community service through Rotary and other service organisations. He has held positions of Treasurer, Director of Rotary Foundation and Secretary at the Rotary Club of Road Town, in which he has been a member since 2003. He is also extensively involved in furthering the accounting profession in the BVI through his position as President of the BVI Association of Professional Accountants. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing almost any sport and is not afraid to try new ones. He is actively involved in running, ball hockey and swimming. service area
