news releases BDO in the British Virgin Islands joins 110 countries across the network in adopting a single trading name News release BDO in the British Virgin Islands, part of the world’s fifth largest accountancy network, is pleased to announce that, effective 1 January 2010, it has joined all its member firms in 110 countries worldwide to adopt the single global trading name of ‘BDO’. From Janaury 1, 2010, BDO Limited will be known simply as BDO. Jeremy Newman, CEO of BDO said: “This is a very exciting change for BDO and is the culmination of many years of strategic and operational investment and engagement. It demonstrates our member firms’ commitment to provide a seamless, integrated service delivering the highest quality advice to all our clients across the world. It confirms our position as a competitor to not only the largest, but all other businesses operating in our marketplace”. Andrew Bickerton, Managing Director of BDO Limited said “This change in focus aligns the network into a seamless structure to recognise the global focus of today's markets. With a single trading name, we will hopefully become more recognised as being a truely global network; one that can meet the needs of our clients, no matter where they are or do business in”. The change also sees BDO entering into arrangements to enable all BDO Member Firms to utilise common IT software which should facilitate the deployment of new network-wide tools and applications. This will benefit clients as it will enable easier document and knowledge sharing. BDO has strengthened its brand, visual identity, messaging and positioning.
